Write less

In a famously paraphrased quote by French philosopher and mathematician Blaise Pascal, “I would have written a shorter letter, but I did not have the time.”

Many of us learn to write properly. Few of us are taught to write concisely.

This is your reminder to cut down the text in your client presentation. Shorten your email. Whittle your website copy down to the bare essentials.

It’s not that people don’t read.

It’s that most folks can’t afford to waste time reading the extra stuff that doesn’t matter.

So write what matters.

Leave out the rest.
