How to solve a design challenge
A mentor once advised me: “There’s no such thing as problems. There are only challenges and opportunities.”
Design challenges in particular, which can crop up in the areas of marketing, branding, graphic design or UX, benefit from extreme focus and immediate learning.
It can be so tempting to want to solve the biggest challenges that will benefit everyone.
But proven solutions tested with a smaller audience is far better than ambiguity and inaction around a large one.
So keep narrowing your focus.
And then narrow it again.
Because creativity is a messy process.
And design strategy is just making sense of the mess.
