Not all features are valued equally

If you and a key competitor find yourselves offering similar products to similar customers at similar price points…

Your customers may find themselves in a feature tug-o-war. 🪢

Features are the components that make up your product, but your customers may value them differently.

😫 Which means it may take them longer to run these features through their own personal value engine to make a decision.

EXAMPLE

Brand A and Brand B are both selling a rechargeable hands-free flashlight at identical price points.

🏃🏽‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️ An outdoorsy couple may choose Brand A that offers extra battery life.

👩🏻‍💻While an event planner may choose the free personalization option from Brand B for an upcoming event.

When it comes down to features, your customer ultimately decides.

But if you can save your customer time by removing the guesswork in the first place by presenting a clearly different benefit SPECIFICALLY targeted towards their needs…

Maybe you can avoid playing tug-o-war in the first place.
