A note about naysayers

Each of us can probably recall an exchange we’ve had with someone, most likely when we were much younger in our careers, that shone a spotlight on the word “no.”

Or “not enough.”

Or just “never.”

We, as customers and companies alike, are endlessly surrounded by nevers and not enoughs, by points of friction and challenges. Everyday.

THIS is why design matters.

As creative doers and thinkers, I say we have an obligation to respond to the “nevers” with “what ifs.”

Jonathan Adler’s mission is “to create luxe and livable interiors that are seriously designed, but don’t take themselves too seriously.”

But the true spirit lies in their manifesto.

“We believe that your home should make you happy.”

So what do you believe? What’s the problem you set out to solve?

And who is your naysayer who told you that you couldn’t?
